The Department of State offers a handy, fun, and informative interactive tool designed to help potential Foreign Service candidates understand the challenges and rewards of foreign service and determine if they should move on to the next step with State.
The format, a list of personal questions leading to a generated results chart, will be very familiar to Millennials. The tool can be found here: http://careers.state.gov/officer/fsright/index.html
One warning: the tool is (understandably) geared toward optimism. That is: most students will find the tool recommending they pursue their interest in the Foreign Service. The questions themselves, however, are very informative as to the opportunities and drawbacks of Foreign Service.
